In 1995, we succumbed to the special allure that Maupin and South Wasco County holds for so many people. We moved from the Seattle area to Juniper Flat with our four children (now six), and then to Maupin proper in 1999. With 6 kids and their 60 friends, our house by the high school is a local hub, and often a beehive of activity. It’s a lifestyle we’ve come to love and one that’s not unlike running a lodge – or a river!
